Supports practitioners working with carers to use evidence for good practice, and to plan, reflect on and discuss their experiences. The tool can be used in case work or in training and has been designed to be used at any or all of the stages of assessment and support.
This package contains:
Working together with carers: Practice Tool (2013): Evidence and experience from carers emphasise the value they place on good relationships, and the difference these make to their experience of social care and to their outcomes.
Working together with adult social care: Carer's Guide (2013): This Carer’s Guide supports carers to get the best out of their experience of adult social care, whether they are new to caring or have been caring for someone for some time.
Carer's Guide tells us that the experience of adult social care can be as important as the support people receive. We know from both evidence and research that people using adult social care want to have good information. This guide has been produced to give carers the best information and help them to prepare well for using adult social care services. In this way, the guide supports and promotes better working relationships between carers and services in adult social care.
