Making Safeguarding Personal Outcomes Framework

Research in Practice for Adults

The Institute of Public Care with Research in Practice for Adults and commissioned by ADASS, have produced a national Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) Outcomes Framework, following a review.

The MSP programme emphasises that safeguarding adults should be person centred and outcomes focused. The framework builds on local best practice, utilises existing data collection and includes qualitative and quantitative information.

The framework aims to enable Directors and Safeguarding Adults Boards to understand what difference they are making in helping people to keep safe, assess progress and identify how practice is impacting on outcomes.

It is hoped the experience of using the framework will inform where further development is required.
