Family group conferencing with adults

12 Jul 2017 Presenter: Lydia Guthrie

This webinar provides a brief introduction to the origins, principles and processes of family group conferences (FGCs) and an overview of FGCs within the context of legislative frameworks which support adult social care (eg, the Care Act 2014; Making Safeguarding Personal 2010).

It looks at the research/evidence base on the effectiveness of adult FGC and shares practice ideas for setting up or developing an FGC service. It also discusses how to develop a simple framework to measure the effectiveness of adult FGCs in your organisation.

Aimed at: All those involved in adult family group conferences, including senior leaders, managers and coordinators who already run or are looking to set up a family group conference service for adults.
