Research in Practice for Adults is holding its annual Leaders’ Forum on 2-3 October to help Local Authority leaders consider how they can work with effectively with their communities to develop and deliver services.
This invite-only event, held in Solihull, will gather Local Authority leaders from across the UK to discuss how to place themselves at the centre of innovative thinking in relation to service provision.
The Local Authority is uniquely placed to empower communities to meet the very real challenge of shrinking resources and become a big part of the solution.
With a focus on sharing best practice and new ideas, Martin Reeves, Chief Executive of Coventry City Council, will be talking about their whole systems. Expert sessions will also be hosted by the London Borough of Newham discussing their approach to co-production, and The Joseph Rowntree Foundation speaking about the work they have done using assets based community development to identify and reduce loneliness.
