Resources to build professional knowledge, skills and confidence
To support professional learning and development, Research in Practice for Adults has updated online mapping resources for the Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) and the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF).
The mapping resources are designed to enable social workers to meet, and evidence they have met, the requirements of:
- Knowledge and Skills Statement for Social Work Practice Supervisors in adult social care (now known as Post Qualifiying Standard PQS)
Together the KSS and PCF provide the foundation for social work education, assessment and practice in England from pre-qualifying to strategic level, across all practice levels.
Related Research in Practice for Adults publications and learning resources have been mapped to each section of the statements and framework, based on key topics and themes. The mapping resources can be used by practitioners, supervisors and those undertaking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment to build knowledge, skills and confidence.
