Open access resources to support the Train the Trainer – Supervisor Development Programme

12 November 2019

New open access videos from Lyn Romeo, Chief Social Worker for Adults and Gerry Nosowska, Chair of BASW, aim to support the implementation of the Train the Trainer – Supervisor Development Programme.

Research in Practice for Adults has been working to develop and deliver a national Train the Trainer – Supervisor Development Programme; a valuable investment by the Department of Health and Social Care. The programme aims to enable and empower those responsible for delivering and overseeing effective supervision within local authorities to deliver and disseminate sustainable learning within their local areas.

The programme includes a number of tools and resources to support the development of practice supervisors. These materials will be available on a dedicated website in early 2020. As a preview to that site we are pleased to be sharing two open access videos to support implementation.

Lyn Romeo, Chief Social Worker for Adults talking about the Post-Qualifying Standard for Social Work.

Gerry Nosowska, Chair of BASW and Research in Practice for Adults outlines the relationship between the Post-Qualifying Standard for Social Work, Knowledge and Skills Statement, Professional Capabilities Framework, Capability Statement and the role of the regulator.
