Inform the development of resources to support social work with older people

05 February 2019

BASW, Research in Practice for Adults and the Department of Health and Social Care Colleagues are invited to attend a seminar to inform the development of resources to support professional capabilities and continuous professional development for social work with older people.

The British Association of Social Work (BASW) and Research in Practice for Adults (RiPfA) are working on a project to develop professional capabilities and continuous professional development (CPD) for social work with older people. The project will create a new capabilities statement and CPD pathway for social work with older people.

The upcoming seminar will give colleagues the opportunity to comment on the resources developed so far and help to shape them further. Resources will also be sent ahead of the seminar, so feedback can also be submitted via phone or email.

The seminar will be hosted on the 28 February between 10:30 – 13:00 at the BASW London office, 4-12 Norton Folgate, Bishopsgate, E1 6DQ.

To attend the seminar please email events@ripfa.org.uk.

To receive the resources and to give feedback virtually please email Lisa.Smith@ripfa.org.uk.
