Research and Policy Updates (RPUs) are intended to assist in keeping up to date with national research and policy developments. We aim to provide early signposts to useful material that you may otherwise miss.
how will you receive the RPU?
RPUs will be posted on the
research in practice for adults
website on the third Monday of each month. Electronic copies will be sent by e-mail to
research in practice for adults
Link Officers on the same day, for distribution across their Partner agency.
what will be in the RPU?
The content of the RPU will depend on the month in which it is produced. Thus:
- each monthly issue will signpost new parliamentary business, new reports and guidance, new consultation documents and key research reports
- the issues in January, April, July and October will signpost newly-published research articles available in print or on the web
- there will be an annual summary of key research and policy topics which have achieved prominence over the preceding 12 months.
