network

The research in practice for adults network is currently made up of 45 participating agencies in England. Our plans are to double this network over the next three years across England and Wales.

New Partners are invited to join now.

The cost for Partnership during 2010/11 is £14,260 which includes benefits such as:

  • over 20 learning events organised throughout the year
  • annual Directors Policy Forum residential workshop
  • annual Councillors and Trustees residential workshop
  • 20 hours one-to-one support on a topic of your choice
  • information exchange networks
  • Change Projects – practice development opportunities
  • monthly Research and Policy Updates (RPU)
  • a range of publications
  • a website supporting additional evidence-informed practice resources, forum and interactive learning and
  • an individual response service to Partner queries.

In addition, activities and products outside this core menu can be developed in response to Partner needs. While research in practice for adults and research in practice serve different networks, our co-location and shared focus on research utilisation enables us to develop joint work on themes that cross child and adult service boundaries.

There are six strands to our work:

  • learning events
  • publications
  • network exchange
  • Change Projects
  • website resources
  • collaborative working.
