5 November 2009Blackburne House, Liverpool27 April 2010Watershed, BristolThese interactive workshops provided an opportunity for delegates to explore practical ways of developing person-centred thinking and planning for older people in their own practice setting, drawing upon real examples and key messages from the report, Practicalities and Possibilities! '... Informative, enjoyable and lots of resources.' (delegate after event in Liverpool) Practicalities and Possibilities! was an 18 month programme which saw nine local authorities develop ways of making person-centred thinking and planning work well with older people. It was set up by the Older People's Programme, the Centre for Policy on Ageing and Helen Sanderson Associates. The final report was launched in March 2009.about the workshopsThe days included: an overview of the Practicalities and Possibilities! programme, and the stories and lessons that came out; presentations from Local Authorities on their experience of being involved in the programme; practical guidance and tools for person centred work with older people; and advice about how to evidence person centred planning in your organisation.
