This user-led workshop focused on the experience of individuals that use individual budgets and their family carers. The key learning was through sharing people’s stories but was also put in the context of the most current research findings on the use of individual budgets.

'Involve Us: The Individual Budget Experience' was a service user led event. A number of customers shared their stories of using individual budgets: what the experience was, how it worked for them, what the challenges were, what their learning and advice to the practitioners was.

research in practice for adults presented the latest messages from research and the participants had the opportunity to discuss how the outcomes for people using individual budgets can be evaluated in their local authorities.
