The Centre for Evidence-Based Social Services (CEBSS)
The Centre for Evidence-Based Social Services under its first and only Director, Professor Brian Sheldon, ceased operations on 31st October 2004.
Based at the University of Exeter from 1997 - 2004, and funded by a consortium of local authorities and the Department of Health, the Centre was one of the early pioneers of evidence-based practice, delivering a wide range of services and support to a network of agencies, mostly based in the South-West of England.
CEBSS produced a wide range of training materials, publications and other resources that were made available through their website.
