research in practice for adults works closely with its Partner agencies to support their learning and development, including the better use of evidence in the planning and delivery of services to adults and carers.
We have six strands of work:
- learning events: a range of events of varying sizes and for different target audiences held at a range of locations throughout the country; the programme of learning events each year is planned in response to the requests from our Partner agencies
- publications: our publications are designed to provide authoritative and accessible summaries of research relevant to practice; current series are OutLines, Key Issues and Councillors' Briefings
- network exchange: support to Link Officers; consultation about our work and services; helpline service; monthly Research and Policy Updates; 20 hours of one-to-one support per year
- website: maintaining and updating content and functionality; developing sections; increasing help and information to users
- Change Projects: identifying, implementing and evaluating practice change
- collaborative working including joint work with research in practice: projects that cross the boundaries of adult and children's services
